• Skiing:

Gulmarg is third-highest ski resort and known around the world for its powdery snow. Apharwat peak (4390m) in Gulmarg is the longest ski slope in Asia. Despite ski destination,Gulmarg can be chaotic and needs more infrastructure to be able to do justice to those exceptional mountains. The ski town’s endless slopes and fantastic snow conditions are reason enough to head there for skiing. The easy ski runs on the Apharwat hills are about 7.5 km long, the intermediate 16.5 km and the difficult one is 6 km long. There is always avalanche patrolling on Phase I and II because those mountains are highly avalanche-prone. You can also get your equipment from  government rental shops in Gulmarg itself, one can rent out a pair of good quality skis, boots and poles for around Rs800 per day.

It has trek of 4kms from Gulmarg and is a beautiful little valley. Khilanmarg is furnished with variety of flowers in summer time. One can easily trek to Khilanmarg and enjoy the view. And second must visit place is Strawberry Valley, it’s a 5 km trek from Gulmarg.  The picture of red strawberries in fields look like a picture straight out from Garden of Eden.The visit to Strawberry Valley is an amazing experience.The Summer season is the busiest time of the year in the valley of strawberries as the strawberries are ripe and ready to be harvested.
